BILZ Schwingungstechnik has founded for more than 40 years. At that time it was normal to ancor or to cast the machines in the floor. Nowadays the reduction of of vibration emission and vibration immission play an important part in the operation of plant and machinery. The constant improvement in machine performance over the last years has generally been accompanied by increased speeds and cutting rates, as well as an increase in impact power in the field of non-cutting shaping.

This means an increase in the vibration and structure-borne noise, which must be efficiently controlled on environmental protection grounds.

Bilz-Schwingungstechnik has different patent isolators as e.g. FAEBI-Rubber Air-Springs, BiAir-Membrane Air-Springs with mechanical- or electro-pneumatical positioner. Additionally Bilz has Insulation Plates in combination with Precision Levelling Wedges and Levelling Elements and Accessories. As well Bilz is doing Isolated Foundations.

Insulation Plates :

Bilz insulating plates are highly developed materials designed to combat problems caused in many industrial sectors by vibrations and structure-borne noise. Made from an exactly defined combination of nitrile rubber, cork particles and cross-linked polyester-fibre, this high-grade compound material possesses all the physical and mechanical properties. One major advantage of thes new compound material is its resistance to modern cooling lubricants; the mountings can thus also be used in oil sumps without any problems. 8 different types of plates provide the technically optimal solution to almost any vibration problem. The primary aim in the development of these special kinematic characteristics of e.g. lathes, milling machines and grinding machines, as well as those of presses an feed presses!

Precision Wedge Mounts :

BILZ wedge mounts are used for a quick and high precision levelling with a range of 1/100 mm. BILZ wedge mounts are manufactured as a free standing, bolt on and bolt through series. It is possible to supply the wedge mounts with a spherical seating.
Large supporting surfaces of the mounts permit optimum foundation support and rigidity. High solidity and equally high vibration insulation is obtained through assembling of the respective BILZ insulating plates.

Levelling Elements :

BILZ levelling elements are specially suited for the positioning of machines. The levelling range is depending of the lenght from the levelling screw.
The levelling elements are available with screw (flexibly connected) or without screw.
High solidity and equally high vibration insulation is obtained through assembling of the respective BILZ insulating plates.
The elements are available in stainlaess steel too.

Accessories:

- Levelling screws (galvanized)
- Horizontal elements
- Insulating disks for screw head insulation (both through applications)
- Heavy duty anchor SLM, galvanized

Rubber Air-Springs FAEBI:

Rubber air-spring for highly, effective insulation of machinery and sub-assemblies against impact and ascillation. The bell-shaped component is made of high-grade elastomer.
The construction allows a highly effective insulation without the disadvantage of excessive horizontal deflection. It is impossible for the element to break down as a result of overloading or a sudden drop in pressure. To reduce vertical dampening, the component is available with additional attenuation. The baseplate is quipped with an anti-slip plate so there is no need to anchor the machine to the floor.

Membrane Air-Springs BiAir:

The Air-Spring insulator BiAir consists of a cast aluminium body whose air volume is enclosed by a thin-walled, flexible and pressure-resistant roller daphragn. The plunger is seated on thes daphragm and is pushed into the air volume.
This design permits of ahighly effective vibration insulation. In order to obtain as high a dampening effect as possible, the air space is plit into two chambers (load/dampening volume) linked by air pipe. By the adjustable valve the dampening can be easily changed from outside Due to the friction caused by the air-stream passing throgh the bypass valve, up to 25% dampening can be effected.
Additional safety valves will protect the roller daphragm from getting damaged by over-inflation.

LHT Insulated Tables:

- adjustable feet
- torsion proofd, welded steel frame
- membrane air-spring insulators BiAIR (vertical natural frequency approx. 2 Hz) between frame and plate.
- mechanical-pneumatik level control (level accuracy of +/- 1/10 mm)
- plate in granit (LTH)

Isolated Foundations :

The main purpose of the foundation is to stabilize the machine as well as to increase the moment of inertea. The foundation thus positively influences machine vibration by reducing the amplitude of oscillation. It is wrong, however, to assume that any foundation large enough would eliminate all vibration problems. It is important that as much information as possible be supplied regarding the machine to be isolated, this will include machine size and weights, any dynamic features of its operation, lication including ground type and condition and, where optimal performance is required, a vibration analysis of the machine and site conditions. A correct isolation between machine foundation and the surrounding area will result in troble free operation. As a result of years of experience we have the necessary experience in thes field. At your request we would gladly assume all other related services including measuring of vibrations, planning and construction design.

Measurement Techniques :

We use most modern measurement equipment (FFT-Analyser + PC calculation programs). Owing to decades of experience in the field of vibration technology we guarantee technically and economically reliable solutions for your problems.

Rewind, Repair & Remanufacturing
Large and small defines Monarch. Large in weight, horsepower, voltage, swing diameter, and VIP. Yet, a section is devoted exclusively to small motors. Apparatus is returned to service on time, and within budget.

    On-Site Around the World
Monarch’s on-site services have increased as more companies downsize. These include rewind, repair, balancing, alignment, undercutting, and Cryogenesis cleaning of apparatus. On-site technical evaluation, including Vibration Spectrum Analysis, accurately pinpoints problems, and facilitates accurate repair estimates and schedules. Two fully-equipped on-site crews are available, and frequently work under the time constraints of plant shutdowns.
Cryogenesis Non-Toxic Cleaning
Monarch’s innovative CryogenesisTM motor cleaning is, by far, the most efficient, safe, and reliable process in the industry. In today’s EPA regulated workplace, Cryogenesis meets or beats every federal regulation. In a system developed by NASA for cleaning satellites, CO2 pellets are driven by nitrogen gas. The result: Cryogenesis eliminates toxic chlorinated cleaners. This non-intrusive process eliminates damage while keeping equipment dry.

  • Dramatic Performance After On-Site Cleaning
  • On-Site Services Nationally and Internationally

Motor Management Program
Monarch manages spare motor availability, motor storage, and motor maintenance schedules, repairs, and purchases, supplementing or aiding company resources.

New & Remanufactured Apparatus
Monarch, for years, has been a new AC/DC motor distributor as well as locating and refitting or remanufacturing used motors of all types of specific applications. The range of apparatus also includes synchronous and adjustable speed motors, generators, transformers and rectifiers. Most often, Monarch is called upon to locate a surplus unit to duplicate a crucial operation, or the need to replace one unit with a higher-rated unit. We then match the apparatus to the specific application by remanufacturing.
