Our
Chapter was formed in July 1992. We are a Chapter of
the Vibration Institute a Not - For - Profit Organization,
located in Willowbrook, Illinois. The Vibration Institute
was founded in 1973. It was an outgrowth of small symposium
held in 1967 and The Vibration Foundation founded in
1972. It is the only nationally recognized organization
dedicated to the exchange of information about vibration,
primarily dealing with predictive maintenance of rotating
equipment and an organization for the dissemination
of practical information on evaluating machinery behavior
and condition.
Our
local chapter has more than 120 members, from all types
of companies, from one-man consulting firms to multinational
corporations.
Come
join us at one of our monthly meetings. They are held
on the first Thursday of the month, from September thru
June. You do not have to be a member of the Vibration
Institute to attend our meetings. Our goal is to provide
an exchange of information in the field of predictive
maintenance.
